Corner to corner Fox baby blanket

Allow me to share with you my latest completed corner to corner (C2C) baby blanket. It’s a super cute little fox with a heart on its chest.

Before you ask, I didn’t use a written pattern for the fox. I worked off a graph picture I found on Pinterest by searching “fox graph”. I also added the E myself and extra squares around all sides to make it bigger.
The upper left corner was my own creation as well, kind of by accident. I ran out of the teal background color and could not find any more (turns out they stopped making it). I like my stripes solution in matching colors. I went bold instead of trying to match it and hide the fact that it is different yarn. I also happen to really like the balance with the E on the opposite corner.

I lined the back with this arrow pattern fleece that perfectly matches the color scheme.

The edging was something I’ve never tried before. I found the pattern here. It’s suppose to look like little fox heads with ears and a black nose.
I am pleased with how the edging turned out. Overall, the edges look a little wavy. They don’t lay very flat when the blanket is spread out, but I’m sure it’s my own fault having to do with the spacing of my stitches. Regardless, I really like it and I think the recipient will really like it. My stuff doesn’t every turn out perfectly on the first try anyways. I would attempt the edging again on another project.
