Colourpop Cosmetics small haul
Allow me to share with you my latest haul from Colourpop Cosmetics. This is another brand that I love and highly recommend. They have really grown recently, including branching out to include 2 sister brands: SOL Body and Fourth Ray Beauty. They are constantly coming out with new products, the latest has been a line of monochromatic eyeshadow palettes (seriously, every color!). See my post about their colored mascara here. They also now have limited stock available at Ulta and everything is super affordable.
I had been dying to try the glow oil from SOL Body. It is all over their Instagram and looks amazing! I almost purchased Sol de Janeiro’s GlowMotions Glow Oil several times but couldn’t bring myself to drop $35 on a bottle. Well, this is a dupe for that and costs less than half the price ($15)! It is important to note that they actually have 2 similar products: glow oil (what I purchased) and shimmering dry oil. Sounds like the same thing, right? Well, the shimmering dry oil came out first and was on my wish list until the glow oil came out and seemed even better! The shimmering dry oil is more glittery while the glow oil is more luminous. And while I love glitter, my husband throws a fit every time he gets some on himself. After reading some reviews it seems like the shimmering dry oil does transfer glitter everywhere, so I went with the glow oil in shade Rosé and it has not disappointed! It is so flattering. It really makes my skin glow. This color has a slight bronzing effect (the other shades probably have more). It is light bronze with a pearly pink hue. I am super pale and it works great on me.
Below: trying to capture the glow from different angles. These pictures don’t do it justice, really.
This next product I added on a whim to reach free shipping, but boy am I glad I did! So, by now you know that I love glitter. Well, check these out:
These are called Glitterally Obsessed glitter gels. They are described as glitter-packed gel pastes. They are made with an adhesive gel formula and don’t require any additional glitter glue. Once they have dried down they have excellent staying power and no fall-out. They may crease a tiny bit in the crease of my eyelid but it is something that I would notice but literally no one else would notice. I am very pleased with the colors I chose. Anomaly is a silver/blue and Avenue of the Stars is the most beautiful pink with blue/purple specks.
Below: wearing Avenue of the Stars. So glittery!!!
I absolutely will purchase more colors (Do I look like I care? is calling to me), and the glow oil will be a summer staple.
