Espionage Cosmetics

I really love makeup, and I really love finding cute new products. Part of the reason I love Glamlite so much is that their products are not only great quality, but they come in the cutest packaging (see Burger palette and Taco palette). Well, speaking of cute packaging, enter Espionage Cosmetics. They make a makeup compact that looks exactly like a Gameboy game cartridge. This probably shows my age, but I am obsessed with it! I still have my black and white Gameboy pocket that I played all the time as a kid.

I have the Tetris version compact and I just recently got the Mortal Kombat version. They also offer Kirby, Donkey Kong, Space Invaders, and Zelda versions. I recommended/requested a Mario one to them on Instagram. Mario was my jam, I would be all over that. They start at $10 each (check Instagram for sales, or sign up for their emails to receive a discount).

Now these don’t look exactly like the original games. I’m sure this is because they are not officially licensed, but the idea definitely comes across. They feel like real Gameboy cartridges, the grey plastic is spot on (they do come in a couple other colors but for me it had to be the classic grey).

They come with a clear plastic case that I do store mine in for extra protection. If I was traveling with it I would absolutely keep it in the case so it wouldn’t pop open. It holds two standard size pans (26mm) with the extra space labeled for mixing and comes with a mirror (you can always earn bonus points with me for including a mirror).

Below is my compact with my husband’s vintage Mortal Kombat shirt. We are so cool and nerdy, I love it!

Espionage Cosmetics actually mainly sells nail wraps. They are very colorful, artsy, and a lot of pop culture themes. I haven’t tried them yet (I did Jamberry for a while and still have a ton to use up if I ever have time in my life for that again). I will certainly review them if/when I try them. Anyone out there recommend them? Or not?

They also sell makeup (eyeshadow singles and something called lip blush) that fit into the compacts. I have not tried any of it yet. Luckily the compact size fits most standard eyeshadows and I have a few that fit nicely already.

Which ones are you picking up? What games are you hoping to see in the future?
