Blanket Ladder

Blanket Ladder

I bought myself a blanket ladder off Facebook marketplace from a local craftsman. And it’s everything I hoped it would be. It’s 6ft tall, has 6 rungs, and gets wider towards the bottom. It is beautiful! I also think it was a steal of a deal. I had been shopping around some and this one was on the lower price end at $40. I came across some upwards of $100, with $65 being a popular price point. The man’s name is Richard Wilson and he’s in Clayton North Carolina. I highly recommend his ladders, I am very pleased with mine. They are made to order so I choose the color (walnut) and turnaround time was about 1 week.

I also purchased 2 tea ladders from him in the same stain. These are much simpler (they don’t have to hold hardly any weight)- they are one width and have 3 rungs, but they were only $10 a piece. I ordered one in the standard size and one custom size a little shorter so that it would fit on top of my cupboards. They turned out great, I love how they look- very farmhouse chic!

I would 10/10 recommend, and I would purchase from him again in a heartbeat. I didn’t actually get the chance to meet Richard in person because we did porch pickup (I guess it’s for the best and the smart thing to do these days). He did message me later asking what I thought of my purchase so I did get to thank him that way at least. I also gave him a 5 star review.

What do you think? Is the ladder look for you? Do you have any local craftsmen that are amazing and reasonably priced? Please share!
