Glamlite Paint Palette Review
The latest release from Glamlite is here! The Paint Palette.
It is the rainbow eye shadow palette of my dreams, priced at $45 (there are usually discount codes available). The packaging does not disappoint yet again and it comes with a brush this time, which I love. The un-boxing was very exciting. It feels very high quality and very well thought out. Unfortunately, mine arrived with the navy blue color smashed (see below). You can see the bottom of the pan and there was blue dust everywhere. I was so bummed about this. I was so looking forward to receiving this, it really put a damper on my whole experience.
I immediately emailed the company to see if anything could be done. It took a couple of days to hear back and they offered me either a $10 refund or a one-time replacement after I send back the damaged one. I decided to take the $10 for a couple of reasons: I was fairly confident I could try to fix the broken color with alcohol, and having another one shipped seemed a bit risky. Also, I didn’t want to have to wait for it to arrive. I do find it a bit odd that they would request this one back. I’m sure they couldn’t resell it due to hygiene issues so Idk what they would do with it.
The below picture is after I attempted to fix it with alcohol. So, it kind of worked and it is usable but there is now an alcohol stain and blue staining (trying to wipe some blue powder away kinda spread it around and made it worse).
I did use it for the first time the other day. See below. It performed very well (SO pigmented!). And I really love the “paint” brush it comes with. It is flat but angled. I will definitely continue to reach for this brush.

Overall, I am happy with the product and with the customer service. I still am bummed about the whole situation though. So much of this palette is based on the packaging and I wish it were perfect. These things happen, I guess. I do still consider myself a loyal customer, see my other reviews here and here.
